Kalik Arts is looking for volunteers to support with pre-production and production tasks for their upcoming play “Setting Bones,” debuting at the Vancouver Fringe Festival. You can find more info on the show here. We are working on a low budget, so this is largely an unpaid position; however, we can offer an associate producer credit and reference letters.
Some of the roles/responsibilities that we are looking to fill are:
- Social media (basic photography/videography skills are a plus)
- Assistant to stage manager (load in, load out, assist stage manager)
- Production assistant (merch set up and tear down, greeting audience, assisting production manager)
- Flyering
We will need folks for a wide range of dates/times. We ask that volunteers to join us for some of the rehearsal days (September 1-9) to get to know the crew and the show in preparation for their responsibilities during production.
Show schedule* (show length: one hour)
Saturday, Sept. 9, 6:20pm
Monday, Sept. 11, 7:45pm
Wednesday, Sept. 13, 8:30pm
Thursday, Sept. 14, 5pm
Saturday, Sept. 16, 12:30pm
Sunday, Sept. 17, 8pm
*Social media, stage manager assistant, and production assistant volunteers will be asked to meet and coordinate with the production team 30 minutes prior and 30 minutes post show times. Flyering folks will have a different schedule than the other volunteers (soon to come).
